Our Story
Every company has a story. Ours begins with a dog named Mr. Smith. He came into my life during one of my hardest seasons and devoted 15 years to walking me home to my own heart. After losing him, caring for other people’s pets became a way to heal — and to keep sharing the love he gave me.
But as I continued pet sitting, parents began sharing their stories: dogs left crated for 17 hours, walked off-leash in busy neighborhoods, or entrusted to sitters who ignored instructions. I realized this wasn’t just about my healing — it was a calling.
That’s when Your Pet Staycations became my mission: to set a new standard in pet care by building a team of trusted professionals who love what they do and are respected for the care they provide.

Pet sitting began as a way to heal after losing my beloved Mr. Smith, who walked beside me through a 15-year journey of love and growth. Caring for other pets soon became more than comfort — it revealed a bigger calling.
Hearing story after story from pet parents about unsafe or neglectful care made one thing clear: this isn’t just work for me, it’s my mission. That’s how Your Pet Staycations was born — out of love, vision, and a commitment to set the standard in pet care.
Today, my focus is building a trusted team of professionals who are respected, supported, and dedicated to giving pets the safe, joyful care they deserve.

Hi, I'm April! ~ April has always had a deep love for animals, and pet care has been a natural part of her life. With years of experience as a trusted sitter, she provides pets with the same patience, attention, and affection she gives her own. Families love April’s warm personality and reliable care, and she takes pride in making every pet feel safe and loved while their parents are away. Her kindness, professionalism, and heart-centered approach make her an invaluable part of the Staycations pack.
Kerry Morgan, Pawtner in Care
Kerry’s lifelong passion for animals began in a home filled with pets and grew through volunteering at local shelters. She studied Zoology at Ohio State and later became a certified dog trainer at National K9 School. Having worked with hundreds of dogs, Kerry specializes in anxiety, reactivity, and building trust with pets of all ages. When she’s not training or caring for animals, she enjoys the farmers market, backpacking, and crochet. Kerry is dedicated to safe, compassionate care and brings expertise and heart to every staycation.
